Systems Engineer | Donegal €30-40k
This position will assume key responsibility for in-house software and ERP systems and processes, involving elements of development, integration, design and testing. The main remit of the post will encompass the following duties: -
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the integration of existing software products and getting incompatible platforms to work together
- Research, design, write and test new software programs
- Create technical specifications and test plans
- Write operational documentation
- Consult with clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and with a view to writing or modifying current operating systems
- Develop reports from existing software applications, MS Access, Company ERP system (IFS) etc.
- Become fully conversant with all aspects of IFS and respond to user queries.
- Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
Essential Requirements
- Microsoft Access /Excel – VBA Programming
- Relational database design and optimisation
- SQL
- Data extraction and manipulation i.e., from Oracle, SQL Server, etc
Desirable Requirements
- Visual Studio – C#, VB or C++
- PLSQL
- Oracle SQL
- ERP Systems i.e., IFS, SAP, etc
- Bar coding Systems
- Software testing/debugging
- Report Writing
