My client based in County Meath and easily commutable from Carrickmacross, Kells, Newry & Dundalk is seeking recruiting for an enthusiastic, reliable and well-qualified IT Service Desk Lead to join our client’s team.

Reporting to the Head of IT you will be assuming responsibility for the delivery of IT Services incorporating business as usual support and will play a big role in the evolution of their systems and processes to facilitate growth and efficiency.

This is a vital role within the organisation which requires a high level of operational management and strong technical ability. The successful candidate will ideally have experience performing in a similar capacity, or be an Infrastructure Engineer looking to take a step into a more operational focused role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT Service desk
  • Incident management and resolution acting as an escalation point
  • Identifying areas for improvement, implementing change and supporting service transition
  • Managing Service Level Agreements
  • Adhere to ITIL principles

Requirements

  • Proven track record performing in a similar capacity
  • Experience in operational management
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware/software systems, Windows O/S, Servers, Networks, Office365, Cloud technologies etc
  • Ability to be flexible in the technology or methodology used to deliver great service depending on the requirements and timescales
  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment
